How deals work, and how to stay safe.
PlayNpass does not process payments, hold deposits, or act as an intermediary in transactions. Users are responsible for agreeing payment methods, deposits, return dates, and exchange arrangements directly with each other.
For rentals, PlayNpass recommends agreeing a deposit equal to the value of the game and exchanging items in person.
Staying safe when you deal
Meet in a public place
Hand over games somewhere busy and well-lit — a station, café or shopping centre. Avoid private addresses.
Keep chat on PlayNpass
Arrange everything through the built-in chat so there's a record of what was agreed.
Agree terms before you meet
Confirm price, deposit, condition and (for rentals) the return date in writing before handing anything over.
Check ratings & leave reviews
Deal with verified gamers, check their reviews first, and leave an honest review afterwards to protect others.
For rentals
- Agree a refundable deposit (we recommend the full value of the game).
- Note the agreed return date — both of you can see it on the request.
- Inspect the disc/case at handover and again on return.
- Return the deposit promptly once the game comes back in the agreed condition.
Moderation & your privacy
To keep the community safe and prevent fraud, PlayNpass administrators may review messages and listings when investigating a report or suspected misuse. Please keep all conversations on PlayNpass and report anything suspicious. Your phone number and full postcode are always kept private and are never shown to other gamers.
PlayNpass is a platform that connects gamers; it is not a party to any deal between users. By using PlayNpass you agree to deal fairly and lawfully with other members. Questions? Reach out from your dashboard.
